We have talked earlier at another place that there are two types of recruiters; senior and junior. The senior recruiters have good experience and they are working in the career for years but companies don’t just replace these recruiters with new staff but they prefer to hire an assistant that works as a junior recruiter with the senior staff and after 1-2 years, he gets enough experience so that he can work as a senior recruiter in the company. Some people get the idea that a junior recruiter is like an assistant to the senior staff but that’s not true. There is a lot of difference in an assistance and junior recruiter. Although both get the same pay in the company but their jobs are completely different. No company will make assistance a senior recruiter but it always promotes a junior recruiter to the senior position.
Salary of a Junior Recruiter:
This is like the starting point in the career when a person is hired as a junior recruiter in the company so that also explains that he won’t get that good salary too. But that doesn’t mean one shouldn’t do this job. You need to keep in mind that there are very good opportunities for you to be promoted on high profile positions in the company so it doesn’t matter that much if you need to work with less salary for 1 or even 2 years in the beginning. Usually the salary of a junior recruiter depends on each company but averagely, it’s around $35000 per year which goes up to $50000 in some cases when a company is very good and working global.
Here are the guidelines to create a Junior Recruiter Resume:
- Always create a new resume for this job instead of using a previous one.
- Recruiters like to interview those applicants who actually spend some time making their resume.
- Instead of putting an objective, use your career summary which is more effective and eye catching.
- First talk about your education and studies and start from graduation diploma.
- Then add your employment history that includes each of the jobs that you have done in the past.
- There are no definite limits of what jobs to include in your resume and what’s to eliminate. It’s only a matter of writing that you can make any of the jobs an excellent career.
- Always try to send out the resume as soon as possible after you have seen the advertisement.
- Always put your education and employment history in different sections.
Elements not to include in this Resume:
- There is no need to use a resume of more than one page. Just eliminate the useless details like personal information and make room for important points.
- Don’t explain your previous job duties but talk about your achievements and accomplishments instead.
- Never use the same resume with same details and information for more than one job. Whenever you want to send a job application, create a new resume.
- Always use a single 11pts font with only one color for the heading and subheadings.
- Never send out the resume without proofreading it at least twice.
